How can we work together?

The Common Language Project is a nonprofit new-media organization based in Seattle, Washington. We are looking to collaborate with journalists and artists on innovative media projects that fit with our mission of bringing the public information on important but underreported local, national and international social justice issues.  We are especially interested in getting involved with groundbreaking projects that bring unreported stories to light, approach old issues from new perspectives, challenge conventional wisdom, and use media technology to tell stories in innovative ways.

This is not a grant application.

We are currently unable to finance projects ourselves. But there is a lot that we can do together, and there is a lot the CLP can offer to make your project a success, such as

• Collaborating or consulting on reporting and/or production for writing, multimedia, audio, photography or video.
• Providing fiscal sponsorship for independent fundraising under our nonprofit status
• Help finding funding sources for a project
• Help finding outlets to publish stories, or consulting on how to market projects
• Hosting of web-based projects on www.clpmag.org
• Assistance planning and developing projects
